CatholicCare Melbourne provides support, counselling and information for all welfare issues, individual or family related. Their core vision centres around drawing all people into the fullness of life as individuals, families, communities and especially those suffering from poverty and disadvantage. Their mission and services put the spotlight on the following areas:-

- Clemente Fitzroy Program - partnering with Australian Catholic University to offer tertiary level education for those who are significantly disadvantaged.

Mary of the Cross Centre is a Fitzroy based branch of CatholicCare Family Services that works with the community of Melbourne to assist it in dealing with the harmful effects of drug and alcohol abuse.

In particular, the Centre works with and cares for families, and culturally and linguistically diverse communities. Their work is with and for all people, irrespective of religion, race, cultural background, gender, age, or any other criteria.
